DAVIE, Fla. — The Miami Dolphins will put backup safety Michael Thomas on season-ending injured reserve this week with an apparent arm/shoulder injury, a source tells ESPN.com. Thomas was injured in the second half of Sunday’s 37-0 victory for Miami over the San Diego Chargers.
Thomas was a valuable member of Miami’s special teams and played in the nickel and backup safety roles. He played in all eight games and recorded 18 tackles on the season.
