This time, when it counts, Seahawks stop Derek Carr and Raiders

SEATTLE — It was during another NFL loss — all he has known so far — on a wet, dreary day where his ears were ringing in the league’s most hostile environment when Derek Carr approached his head coach.

He had a simple message to Raiders interim coach Tony Sparano.

“He came up to me and said, ‘I’ll get better,’” Sparano said. “That kid will. He learns from these types of things. The people in Oakland should be proud; they have a good quarterback here.
