Expect Browns’ three-headed RB mashup to be wide open all year

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns’ offense got its swerve back in Cincinnati, where the rushing lanes were enlarged and Kyle Shanahan could grin like a giddy teenager as Cleveland pounded the ball 52 times for 170 yards.

With that many carries to go around, a three-running-back system looks awfully nifty and convenient. But the way this season has transpired — more pointedly, the unpredictability of the backfield lineup — promises a padlock of combination possibilities for Terrance West, Ben Tate and Isaiah Crowell.
