Chiefs likely to be missing A.J. Jenkins, Donnie Avery vs. Seahawks

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs will likely be without two of their top wide receivers during Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Coach Andy Reid said A.J. Jenkins would not play because of a shoulder injury, and Donnie Avery, who recently had surgery to repair a sports hernia, is probably at least another week away from returning to game action.

Frankie Hammond Jr. will start along with Dwayne Bowe at wide receiver. The other wide receivers on the roster are Junior Hemingway, De’Anthony Thomas and Albert Wilson.
