For all practical purposes, the loser of the game between the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons at Bank of America Stadium won’t have a realistic shot to catch the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.
New Orleans leads the division at 4-5, followed by Carolina (3-6-1) and Atlanta (3-6). That the Panthers and Falcons even are in the running shows just how wacky the division is. Carolina has lost four straight and has only one win in its last eight games.
