Leonard Hankerson, Barry Cofield active for Redskins

LANDOVER, Md. — Receiver Leonard Hankerson will make his season debut Sunday and nose tackle Barry Cofield will play for the first time since the season opener — but how much either will play remains to be seen.

With Cofield back, the Redskins deactivated veteran defensive lineman Stephen Bowen, a mild surprise but given the way he’s played since returning from microfracture surgery, it’s not a shock. Frank Kearse has three sacks and has been more active during games than Bowen.
