Report: Lions among teams spotchecked by DEA

ALLEN PARK, Mich. — The Detroit Lions were among the teams the Drug Enforcement Administration met with Sunday following the Lions’ 14-6 loss to Arizona, according to a report from WXYZ-TV in Detroit.

The DEA had surprise inspections around the NFL on Sunday as they spoke with medical staffs about prescription painkillers. One of the Lions’ team doctors was among the people interviewed.

“Yes, from what I understand, they did interview one of our doctors,” Lions coach Jim Caldwell told WXYZ-TV in Detroit.
